Listed below are the internship job descriptions for the 2023 Student Internship Program.
We will continue to add internships through May 31.
Session Dates: Some internship host have selected when interns need to work. Please see the dates of each session below. If there are no required work dates listed that means that the host is open to having their intern schedule around both of their schedules.

506. Industry: Special Education
Location: Spring, TX
The intern will work with and support the education and environment of clients with special needs. He/she will be required to fill out a volunteer contact form before they begin their internship.
507. Industry: Education
Location: The Woodlands, TX
The intern will assist lead teacher with materials prep before each class. Provide assistance to students with the completion and generation of art, science or robotic projects. Prep and distribute supplies to children. Help with maintaining a clean classroom, assisting with clean up at the end of class. Some administrative duties may apply. This is an opportunity for children who are staying for the 9am-Noon session, as well as, the 1pm-4pm session to have lunch. During this time, the interns can stay with these students and interact with games, improv exercises, movement or other pre-determined needed tasks. If interns show an interest in the arts, then we schedule their assistance with those workshops and if an intern shows interests in the science and robotics, then we schedule their assistance with those workshops. We require that the student interns complete paperwork that shares their contact information and any special accommodations they may need. We only initiate a background check on students over 18 years of age. We guide the student interns on where to place their personal belongings upon arrival for safe keeping and do ask that they not actively communicate on their phones while IN the workshops or checking children in or out of the program each day.

Location: Spring, TX
The intern will be exposed and have the opportunity assist teachers in our robotics academy for advanced students K-12. Students receives work training. Students receives progress tracking and recommendation letter for engineering college applications. He/she must fill out an application and confidentiality agreement.
512. Industry: Animal Education - NEW as of 3.29
Location: The Woodlands, TX
The intern will be exposed to an education center for young children and families focusing on conservation and animal education. There are live animals, including small mammals (gerbils, guinea pigs), reptiles, (including snakes, lizards, and turtles - all NON-venomous), and birds. He/she must be comfortable around animals and children. They'll work with children and the Head Zookeeper to enrich children's experience. There will also be an opportunity to help with the marketing and social media projects. Must be able/willing to handle animals, follow directions, clean animal cages at times (this is not the whole job) and enjoy working with children in a busy, active environment. Maximum 20 hours per week If students need 80 hours it will take at least 4 weeks to complete internship. Available work days Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Preferred hours 9:30 - 2:30. Looking for interns anytime between June 1 and July 31. Medical information and liability release will be required of all interns.
