The intern will learn what an Architect and an MEP Engineer do on a regular basis. He/she will be taken on job site meetings and get a crash course on the software that professionals use to develop drawings. The intern will gain experience in architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering along with civil engineering and construction services. Requirements: Students must work Session 3 June 19 - June 30.

Our EfTA intern will support each of the different areas of the chamber of commerce. They will be able to shadow and assist the President with overall operations and budgeting of the chamber, work with the membership director with member events and communications, support our upcoming special events (Tastefest, Athena, Fireworks) while assisting our directors of special events and communications and marketing as those event will happen during the summer. Interns will work on a variety of tasks related to the overall operation of the chamber of commerce. Candidates should demonstrate good communication and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and be open for a complete change of plans if something else takes a priority. Ideally, the intern will be someone looking to earn a degree in non-profit management, business, marketing, finance, communications, or public relations.

The intern can expect to gain experience in the following skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, Canva, writing, graphic design, photography and professional conduct.

This is an opportunity to see all aspects of running an E-commerce store and clothing brand. This is a small business and will give the intern the opportunity to see what life is like for an entrepreneur. He/she will be exposed to many aspects of running an ecommerce business including but not limited to: picking, packing and shipping orders, customer service, inventory management, social media, influencers, paid advertising, graphic design, photography, website management, printing t shirts, and product design. We also have a non-profit in our space for Veterans and first responders. The intern will spend one day learning about running a non-profit and our mission. Parental consent needed if the student wants to appear on social media, images or live selling. Casual clothes and close toed shoes. Work dates: 4, 5, or 6 (students will not overlap)

The intern will have opportunities to conduct research and develop marketing strategies, evaluate and market real estate investment opportunities, and assist with coordinating community events and programs. Additionally, interns will gain experience conducting data entry, recording systems and process, and executing marketing strategies. Parent permission will be requested so interns can ride with members of the marketing team to off-site work events that do not take place at the office or interns will need to have reliable transportation. Remote work 1-2 day a week can be arranged. Available Session 2 - 6.

Tasks may include: 1. Project involving benchmarking data for different payroll systems. 2. Designing improved filing system for HR. 3. Reconciling accounts like bank statements, payroll/benefits records and cost allocations. 4. Learning about accounting software and systems. 5. Performing data analysis – Excel experience is a plus. 6. Learning about HR and financial management in an non-profit business. He/she will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Required work dates: We prefer each student for 80 hours spread over a 4 week period: June 5 - June 30.

The intern will partner with the director of Quality to learn how our hospital maintains safety, quality, service and innovation while being highly accredited and maintaining high patient satisfaction. This is a true “behind the scenes” look at what makes a hospital receive higher rankings and how to build programs that fully support a culture of safety and excellent patient care. They will interact with the physician team, and have hands-on experience with certain aspects of patient care and thorough insight into innovation and technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a student who may be interested in hospital administration or nursing. He/she will need to get two TB tests (one done 30 days prior to first day and one on the first day), have at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, consent to a drug test, and have a background check. All of these tests will be paid for by the hospital. Required works dates: June 19 - 30.

We are looking for a Wedding Venue Intern to join our team and gain first-hand knowledge in providing exceptional experiences for couples on their big day. This internship is perfect for individuals who have a strong passion for weddings and event planning, as it offers a hands-on opportunity to learn about the wedding industry. During the program, the intern will have the chance to participate in various events such as an actual wedding and wedding rehearsal, a styled photo shoot, and a Sweet 16 Celebration. This will enable them to gain a deep understanding of the day-to-day operations of an award-winning event venue. Required internship days: Session 1 - June 5 - 16 - Specific Days: June 1st to 3rd, June 6th to 10th, and June 13th-14th, 2023. Some evening hours maybe necessary.

They will provide clerical support by making photocopies, sending faxes, processing daily mail and performing other duties as assigned. They will also assist the Executive Coordinator with administrative tasks as needed. Intern will need a Waiver of Liability signed by a parent or legal guardian. Some include teaching young children about science and leading experiments, helping the lead teachers in their classrooms, managing the animal photos to raise funds for scholarships, overseeing the workroom volunteers, helping Science camp speakers, working with children who need some time to calm down, helping in any way that a teacher needs assistance in teaching the curriculum, overseeing Jr. Volunteers, helping show animals to the children, and more. We work with our interns to develop the best experience for them based on their interests and talents. The dates for this internship are during camp weeks, Session 3, 4, 5 (off July 3 - 7).

Some of these responsibilities will include; answering phone calls from constituents, creating call logs, greeting all visitors to the office, collecting and sending mail, as well as opportunities to help staffers with casework or other items. We take pride in our interns, rewarding hard work with the opportunity to accompany Congressman Luttrell to events and meetings while he is in the district. The dress code for this position is Business Casual/Business Professional. When the Congressman is in office, the dress code is strictly Business Professional. A Confidentiality Agreement and Computer and Internet Use Agreement will be required after your resume and application have been approved. Required Work session options: Session 3 and Session 4 only

The intern will shadow the dentist and work with the dental assistant in preventative dental care, routine dental care, emergency dental treatment, sedation, and possible laser dentistry. He/she will be exposed to patient interactions, sterilizing instruments, and chart write-ups. Work dates: Session 2, 3, 6.

The intern will shadow patient care and office administration at a pediatrician’s office. He/she will be required to have cup to date on vaccines, wear a mask while in the office, confidentiality paperwork. Work Dates: Session 5 and 6 only.
808. Industry: Hospital - Orthopedics
The Woodlands, TX
The intern will partner with the orthopedic team to learn more about surgery, rehabilitation, treatment options, and sports medicine . They will interact with the physician team and have hands-on experience with certain aspects of patient care and community outreach. He/she will need to get two TB tests (one done 30 days prior to first day and one done on the first day), consent to a drug test, have at least one COVID vaccine, and have a background check completed. All of these will be paid for by the hospital. The intern will be introduced to the Executive Team on the first day and will have the opportunity to engage further with leadership and other areas of the hospital if interested. The intern will complete an introductory call with their mentor prior to starting their internship, which will be scheduled by the intern with their mentor at a mutually convenient time. 809. Industry: Chiropractic
Location: Spring, TX
The intern will learn the aspects of holistic care while interacting with patients, helping with treatments, taking patient history, and vitals. He/she will also learn the business aspect by helping with scheduling and taking phone calls. The intern will be required to follow all HIPAA regulations and fill out a confidentiality agreement. They will learn different aspects of chiropractic: including adjustments; different therapies; and acupuncture. He/she will be required to complete a confidentiality agreement.
810. Industry: Chiropractic
Location: Spring, TX
The intern would be able to see hands on the type of treatments (spinal decompression, myofascial treatment, dry needling and spinal manipulation) performed at the office to help patients with musculoskeletal issues. He/she will learn how to take a patient history, basic vitals, use the electronic medical records program and can assist with rehab protocols and other treatments under the monitor of the doctor. The intern will be required to follow all HIPAA regulations and fill out a confidentiality agreement.
