We are excited to offer our summer Student Internship Program for students in-person in 2025! Participating students will have the option to apply for a two-week in-person placement. Internships will provide highly motivated high school seniors hands-on opportunities in their desired field. Internships are designed to provide valuable work experience for students as they explore career options.
Eligibility Requirements
- Student should be a current 11th grader within Montgomery County, Texas
- Student should be in good academic standing
- Student should submit all application materials and non-refundable $20 application fee as instructed by April 5, 2025. *Application fee reduction waivers available.
Application Requirements
All applications are due online on April 4, 2025. Only complete applications will be considered.

4. An unofficial school transcript- EfTA will get this from your school
5. A recommendation from a teacher/adult non-family member familiar with the applicant’s work. The teacher recommendation link will be available here when the application becomes live.
6. A one to two page, double-spaced typed essay

8. Participate in 4 hours of volunteer time at the EfTA stations during the IRONMAN Texas on April 26, 2025. You MUST volunteer at one of the following stations during this event: Timing, Run Special Needs, or Bag Drop Friday.

1. Attend a mandatory in-person orientation on either April 30th from 3:00 - 4:00 or May 1st from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. ( Please put one of the following dates in your calendar incase you are placed in an internship.)
2. Set up an interview with internship host and submit a signed Mentor/Intern Contract before internship begins.
3. Complete an online interest inventory assessment with a one-page reflection based on your results (link will be provided once accepted)
4. Attend one of the required online interview workshops during the week of May 27 - 30.
5. Complete your entire in-person internship
6. Submit a one-page reflection essay about your overall program experience (questions to answer will be provided)
