SCI://TECH Science Fair Judges’ Update - Please read!
Thursday, January 25 at the Lone Star Convention Center - 9:30 am start time for all volunteers!
Thank you for signing up to volunteer. As you may know, Conroe ISD has scheduled a delayed start for tomorrow, which will have a direct impact on the Chevron Phillips Chemical Senior High and the Entergy Junior High Science Fairs.
After discussions with the team at Conroe ISD, we will only be able to offer one round of judging tomorrow. We will proceed with the senior high fair at 9:30 am, and junior high campuses will make individual decisions on how to proceed at each school. It is a difficult decision, but the challenges of busing and rotating three groups of students and volunteers led us to this point.
Though the senior high fair will start later, we are asking all confirmed judges from any shift to join us at 9:30 am.

You may park in any open spot in the adjacent parking lot.

Schedule:
Check In & Category Placement: 9:30 am - 10:00 am
Judges’ Training: 10:00 am
Project Judging: 10:30 am until completed; Most volunteers will complete judging projects by 12:30 pm and will complete consensus judging to decide winners by 1:00 pm. First place projects will proceed directly to grand award judging.

The dress code is business casual. You are welcome to wear a shirt to represent your company or organization. Judges will be standing while talking with students, so comfortable shoes are recommended.

Parking: Please enter the campus through Entrance #3 / West Campus Drive off of Highway 242/College Park Drive and park in Lot #7. Judges' check-in will be in Building A, the Commons Building. See map. For those coming with student participants, note that students will check-in in the atrium of Building B.

Check In & Pizza: 5:15 pm
Pizza will generously be provided by Russo's.
Judges’ Training: 5:30 pm
Project Judging: 6:00 pm until completed; Most volunteers will complete judging projects by 8:00 pm, and will complete consensus judging to decide winners by 8:30 pm.
