Education for Tomorrow Alliance programs focus on career, leadership, and STEM preparation and are designed to help students in Montgomery County feel confident as they move forward academically and professionally. We run five core programs in partnership with local schools.
Our career programs consist of Career Connections, Future Focus, and the Student Internship Program. Next Generation Leadership is our leadership program for high school seniors. SCI://TECH, our longest-running program, offers hands-on STEM education for K-12 students.

CAREER CONNECTIONS

The Career Connections program offers monthly career development programming at local High Schools to expose students to a variety of career options. Professionals participate in career panels to share their life experience and expertise with 10th and 11th grade students.
FUTURE FOCUS

Future Focus programming supports the career and college readiness classes within junior high schools. Educators opt for career panels, a classroom-based curriculum designed to promote positive decision making, and/or mock interviews to help students realize that educational attainment today has lasting impacts on their options later in life. It is meant to empower students that they have control over their daily decisions, as small as completing their homework and attending class, which can keep them on track for high school graduation and beyond over time.
NEXT GENERATION LEADERSHIP

Education for Tomorrow Alliance partners with The Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce to offer the Next Generation Leadership program to 12th grade students in the Chamber service area. The program provides promising students with the opportunity to learn about leadership at work in Montgomery County and to cultivate individual leadership skills through interactions with professionals in business, education, and government.
STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Each summer, EfTA’s Student Internship Program (SIP) offers bright, motivated rising high school seniors hands-on learning opportunities in their desired career fields. SIP internships are designed to provide valuable work experiences for students who are just starting to explore career options. Applications are available in early spring for summer programming.
SCI://TECH Expo

The SCI://TECH Expo is the flagship program of Education for Tomorrow Alliance. It began as a partnership with the Conroe Independent School District and several private schools to provide volunteer support to the local science fair, and now offers 13 competitions including a science festival, engineering design competitions (robotics), and science technical writing. Each of the Expo activities offers learning beyond the classroom and teaches critical thinking skills that will enable students to thrive in any career field.
