Starting in March 2026, eleventh grade students will have the option to apply for a two-week in-person internship placement for Summer 2026. Internships will provide highly motivated rising high school seniors hands-on opportunities in their desired field. Internships are designed to provide valuable work experience for students as they explore career options. Depending on the nature of the work, some positions will be more hands-on while others are more observation. In some cases, an intern will follow the direction of one employee for the full two weeks. In others, students have to opportunity to rotate among different departments. Employers determine what makes the most sense for their company.
Student should be a current 11th grade student who lives or attends school within Montgomery County, Texas
Student should be in good academic standing
Student should submit all application materials and non-refundable $20 application fee as instructed by April 2, 2026

A complete application includes all of the following.

Every student applying for the EfTA Student Internship Program is required to sign up for a shift in one of the below shift locations. (Full credit is given for the all shifts below, even if they are a little shorter than 4 hours.) IRONMAN volunteer hours outside of these stations will NOT be accepted as the volunteer requirement for this program. Each of the links below will show the day and time of the volunteer opportunities along with a description of the shift. If the shift is listed below, it is approved to meet the Student Internship Program volunteer requirement. Additional shifts will be added when these fill up. There are shifts as early as 5 am and as late as midnight, so please sign up early if you want a specific time slot. Please put EfTA or Education for Tomorrow Alliance as your group in the registration. (More slots will be added on April 3.)
IRONMAN stations that meet the requirement include the following stations only:
