The Education for Tomorrow Alliance team is excited to host the annual Youth Leadership Academy for high school sophomores and juniors in Montgomery County, Texas. During the three-and-a-half days of training, students will have the opportunity to meet community leaders, develop new skills, explore their strengths, plan for the future, and interact with other students.
The 2027 Youth Leadership Academy dates will be released in April of 2027.

Develop practical personal and professional skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
Engage in a community issue, building awareness and a sense of responsibility
Gain preparation for college and future careers
Build a network of emerging leaders
To be eligible, a student must demonstrate interest and must meet the following criteria:
Be a high school sophomore or junior in the Fall of 2027
Attend school or live in Montgomery County, Texas. If you have questions about your eligibility please reach out to EfTA.
Be in good academic standing
Be able to attend each session
Submit a complete application and the $125 program fee. (Need-based scholarships are available. Please speak with your school's College and Career Counselor for more information.)
Please note the curriculum is similar each year. It is recommended that students attend the Youth Leadership Academy only once.
Applications include short answers, an uploaded essay, and a teacher recommendation letter. Recommendation letters from family members will not be accepted. Spots are limited. Education for Tomorrow Alliance will start a waitlist once capacity has been reached.
