Thursday, January 22 at the Lone Star Convention Center

Events on Thursday, January 22 will take place at the Lone Star Convention Center located at 9055 Airport Road in Conroe. You may park in any open spot in the adjacent parking lot.

The dress code is business casual. You are welcome to wear a shirt to represent your company or organization. Judges will be standing while talking with students, so comfortable shoes are recommended. 

Chevron Phillips Chemical Senior High Science Fair Details

Schedule: 

Check In: 7:45 am

Judges’ Training: 8:00 am  

Project Judging: 8:30 am until completed; Most volunteers will complete judging projects by 10:45 am and will complete consensus judging to decide winners by 11:15 am.

Grand Awards for Chevron Phillips Chemical Senior High Science Fair Details

Schedule:

Check In: 11:15 am

Please check your email for full details. Please note volunteers cannot judge for Grand Awards and Junior High, as the timing overlaps. 

Entergy Junior High Science Fair Details

Schedule:

Check In: 12:45 pm

Judges’ Training: 1:00 pm  

Project Judging: 1:30 pm until completed; Most volunteers will complete judging projects by 4:00 pm, and will complete consensus judging to decide winners by 4:30 pm.

Training:

A training will be provided at the start of each shift. However, we have some additional resources for those who may have questions.

2). You may also check out the judging rubric to get a sense of the process. This rubric will be provided for you on the day of the event. 

Friday, January 23 at Lone Star College - Montgomery 

Private School Science Fair Details

The Private School Science Fair will take place at Lone Star College - Montgomery with check-in in Building A. The address is 3200 College Park Drive in Conroe, 77384.

Map & Directions

Parking:  Please enter the campus through Entrance #3/West Campus Drive off of Highway 242/College Park Drive and park in Lot #7.  Judges' check-in will be in Building A, the Commons Building. See map. For those coming with student participants, note that students will check-in in the atrium of Building B.

Schedule:

Check In: 5:15 pm

Pizza for volunteers will generously be provided by Russo's.

Judges’ Training: 5:30 pm  

Project Judging: 6:00 pm until completed; Most volunteers will complete judging projects by 8:00 pm, and will complete consensus judging to decide winners by 8:30 pm.
